The City is a Charter City incorporated in 1926. Moreover, the City is committed to providing a safe environment and an ever improving quality of life. To that end, the City has embarked on two long-term projects. The first will be to provide grade separations along the 11 Burlington Northern Santa Fe rail crossings that bisect the southern portion of the City; and second, the City has begun an ambitious redevelopment of 110 acres of land that will bring new residents and businesses to the City. Placentia remains a wonderful place to live and forsees a bright future.
